Copy Protection
Definition Of Copy Protection:
Methods that help to restrict or prevent unauthorized duplication of commercial software.
In the older method of copy protection, a small program is placed within the main program which thwarts attempts to duplicate it after a specified number of copies are made for backup purposes. More recently, the original software comes with a code without which the program cannot be 'installed.' The installed program itself normally cannot be copied and reinstalled on another computer.
